Ok. I admit it. I do keep things close to my chest. That is why this blog is so interesting. i have revealed much about myself, which I normally keep hidden. My goodness the whole sailing scene is one I have never told anyone! lol
Now the Democratic and Republican conventions are over I have decided which ones to vote for. I will leave my choice close to my chest. Namely, there are readers who would chose the others and regardless of how people say they do not mind a difference of opinion, when it comes to politics, they do. I dislike those that make remarks that belittle my choice and when someone talks about what my "choice" is, believes, acts, etc. I take it that they are saying I am not intelligent enough to see the truth. It is never about persuasion, it is worse. So, here is my rule. I speak of my political leanings only to those that either agree with me or have an open mind and sincerely ask my opinion. The others would just waste my time and theirs. I won't change their mind and they won't change mine. In the end we could end up with miffed feelings and a drifting apart. So, I prefer to keep my politics separate from my readers so the man I have chosen to vote for as president will just remain "a secret ballot."
Now this is not to say politics does not take a role in my story. It does. Whigs vs. Tories. Stay tuned.
Now I am off to get my house ready for my mom. lol I know it will not be good enough so I leave much for her to do! But still I need to make some effort.
till tomorrow
