changing seasons

It is sunny and I feel pretty good. The leaves are changing colors up here and today some friends and I are heading up to Pisgah Inn for lunch. It sits at 5000 ft and overlooks the wonderful mountain view. It is peak season for the changing leaves.

Soon all the leaves will be off the trees and everywhere will be naked tree trunks. The colors were not as brilliant this year. Some years are like that. As are some chapters.

Writing chapters is a lot like changing seasons - some chapters are brilliant with color and description much like autumn and others are sunny and bright. Soon we will be in gray sadness of winter. The clouds will hang in grey hues over our heads. We will feel dispirited at times as will one of my characters (or maybe a couple of them).

Of course we have the bright colors at Christmas time - the reds and greens and gold and for a few brief days we are all happy and feeling good about life. Some though are saddened by the upcoming holiday season. Much like my story. One man can be extremely agitated, the other brimming with joy, and another confused and conflicted. They can all met and work together but they do not all have to share the same emotions about their lives at the same time. That is just how life is. But we muddle through and do the best we can.

I will continue to consider how the seasons have impacted my story. Or better yet, does my story impact my emotional response to the day?

The story is changing much like the leaves and soon all will be bare for everyone to know. LOL and I am not sure they will like all of my endings. Of course they won't hate me because I know what they want but then there is the one or two loose ends that they may not like how I tied them up. lol Oh well. I do try to bring life into the story and as there is no perfect solution to evrything I do not make everything perfect in the end. But there is still time. There is always time until the last post is made! And then the epilogue can change everything again. Oh to be in such control over so many characters.

I will miss my men, Blake, Rawlings and Kent. We will always have Darcy and Bingley through other writiers, but my three men are mine. And when the story ends, they will cease to exist. they will also cease to whisper to me late at night for more time in my story. They will stop demanding and begging and pleading for the lady of their choice because they will have been given the ladies of my choice. It may agree with them or not. But They will go off to the hidden world of invented characters and live the remainder of their lives away from voyeurs such as us.

13 chapters left to post. Enjoy my Blake, Rawlings and Kent while you can.
